Bonus hike to Pinnacle Mtn ~ Oct 17, 2017

Journal entry by Don McMahon

We must be living in Camelot because it doesn't rain during the day! With excellent fall weather and the leaves in full color, one has to take advantage. This less than one mile hike was attended by Margaret and Ron, Jim and Ruth, Jim I, Bonnie, Tom and Don. For a 600 ft climb it offers one of the best views in the neighborhood. With a chilly start, the climb warms you up fast and we reached the summit before 11 am. Most had a snack, enjoyed the view, took pictures, and sat around in the warm sun just enjoying life. However, even through we stayed at the summit about as long as it took to get there, it is a busy place with lots of people. So we gave up the bench to the new arrivals, descended back to the cars, getting there about noon. A good day - no fatalities!
